New Mazda3

Japanese carmaker Mazda is no stranger for making good looking cars. In fact, the brand has won numerous awards for its efforts in this area, and the new Mazda3 looks to continue that theme. Thankfully the finished product isn’t too far from the the design of the concept and I think the new Mazda3 is easily going to be one of the best looking cars in its class. Today, Mazda has announced the UK pricing and specification for the all-new Mazda3.

The new Mazda3 is almost achingly good-looking…

Limited engine choices to begin with

To begin with, there will only be two engines on offer for buyers, but at least there are five trim levels to choose from, all of which are now available to order now. From launch, buyers can either choose from a 122hp 2.0 litre petrol unit (which has a mild hybrid system) or 116hp 2.0 litre diesel unit, but they will later be joined by Mazda’s new revolutionary Skyactiv-X engine.

What about the trims?

In regards to the trim levels, they range from £20,595 all the way through to £27,735, and the trim levels available are; SE-L, SE-L Lux, Sport Lux, GT Sport and GT Sport Tech. The SE-L may seem a bit pricey for a base model, but there’s a good amount of kit to justify it, including LED headlights, rear parking sensors, 16″ alloy wheels, 8.8″ touchscreen, navigation, smartphone connectivity, adaptive cruise control, and air conditioning to name a few.

SE-L Lux, could be the one to opt for as it’s just £1,100 more (£21,695), but adds front and rear parking sensors, dual zone climate control, reversing camera, keyless entry, auto dimming door mirrors, and heated front seats. Sport Lux starts from £22,795 and is more about style, as it adds privacy glass, 18″ alloys, Signature LED rear combination lights, chrome detailing for the interior, and a frameless rear view mirror.

GT Sport is where things begin to get more plush from a starting price of £24,595, it adds black leather seats with power adjustment, BOSE sound system and a heated steering wheel. That, of course, leaves the range-topping GT Sport Tech, which starts from £25,495. This adds more safety tech, including a 360o camera and Driver Attention Alert with interior camera.

The new Mazda3 hatchback is available to order in the UK now, with prices starting from £20,595.
