Have you ever looked at a Renault Clio and thought, “if only it was a bit more urban”? The chances are, you haven’t, but today French brand Renault has revealed its brand new Clio Urban Nav edition. Offered with either the TCe 90 or dCi 90 engines, it’s based on the Dynamique Nav trim and is priced from £16,225.
What does it offer?
As mentioned, the Urban Nav is based on the Dyanmique Nav trim level, which is able to offer goodies such as 16″ alloys, air conditioning, keyless entry, automatic lights and wipers, 7″ touchscreen with DAB radio, Bluetooth, and of course, navigation. The Urban Nav adds to this with features such as rear-parking sensors, 16-inch alloy wheels with grey inserts, full LED headlights, and a new ‘Urban Grey’ body colour.
The Urban Nav Special Edition is priced at £575 over the Dynamique Nav but with £1,265 of additional equipment. A year’s free insurance is also on offer when the car is purchased on a finance package, and is available from £149 per month.
What about the engines?
The 0.9 litre TCe petrol engine is able to offer 89bhp, and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It’ll hit 62mph in 12.2 seconds and the top speed is 112mph. It’s pretty green as it’s able to offer 60.1mpg on a combined run whilst emitting 105g/km of CO2 emissions. The 1.5 litre dCi diesel also offers 89bhp and is also mated to a 5-speed manual, but there is also the choice of a 6-speed auto.
The diesel offers a top speed of 112mph for the manual and 109mph for the auto, with respective 0-62 times of 12.0 and 12.9 seconds. Predictably, the diesel offers more economy – 85.6mpg on a combined run is offered when the manual is selected, and that figure falls to 80.7 for the automatic. CO2 for the manual is 85g/km whereas it’s 92g/km for the auto.
The new Renault Clio Urban Nav is now available to order, with prices starting from £16,225. Customers can expect deliveries from March onwards.
