Following the success of the F-Pace, and the announcement of the I-Pace, Jaguar has today announced it will add another model to its SUV roster.
The E-Pace
As the headline suggests, it will be called the E-Pace, which will be a compact SUV that sits below the successful F-Pace model. Speaking of success, the F-Pace was a key factor in helping to boost sales by 83% last year, plus it won World Car of the Year. So it seems Jaguar know a thing or two about making SUVs, which puts the E-Pace in a good position. Not many details have been revealed as of yet for the new model, but Jaguar has stated that prices are set to start from £28,500 – around the same price as the Audi Q3 and BMW X1.
Jaguar has also stated the E-Pace will offer sports-car derived AWD technology, along with a choice of diesel and petrol engines. The car itself will be unveiled on the 13th of July and more details should be available then.
Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, said: “The combination of sports car looks with Jaguar performance will ensure that the E-PACE stands out. Every Jaguar is designed to excite the senses, and we think E-PACE will do just that, albeit with its own individual character.”
