The Nissan Micra is here and it has to be the first of its kind to be funky and exciting. In fact, this is the first Micra which actually looks fun and worth owning. The Japanese brand has now increased the appeal of the new model with the special edition BOSE Personal edition. Only 3,000 will be available to buy across Europe, what can buyers expect?
Sounds Good To Me
Based on the range-topping Tekna trim, the BOSE Personal edition will add to this by offering a BOSE Personal sound system, which utilises two speaker built in to the Driver’s head rest. This offers the driver a 360-degree listening experience and the chance to go deaf earlier in life than expected. The audio settings can be adjusted to using the car’s main infotainment system so the sounds can meet the driver’s tastes.
Not only will it sound good, but it will look rather snazzy as well. Offered in either Enigma Black or Gunmetal Grey, both of which are contrasted by Energy Orange. Both colours looks great and resemble a bold trainer you might expect to see in JD. The orange accents can also be inside the car, with a bold orange dashboard and accents featuring on the seats. I never thought I’d say this about a Micra, but this looks pretty cool.
What About Other Kit?
As mentioned, the BOSE Personal Edition Micra features full LED headlamps, NissanConnect infotainment with DAB radio and sat nav, keyless entry and best of all, a front armrest! Nissan’s ‘Safety Pack’ also comes as standard – this offers autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist and intelligent lane intervention.A choice of two engines will be on offer in the new mode. These include a 0.9 litre three-cylinder turbo unit which offers 89bhp and a 1.5 litre turbodiesel, which also offers 89bhp.
The price for the new Micra BOSE Personal Edition is yet to be announced, but it will be available from the summer.
