There have been quite a few special editions of the retro-chic FIAT 500, and the new Mirror is the latest to join the flock. It’s available now with prices starting at £12,515, but what’s this new special edition all about?
Better Connectivity
A lot of popular cars in the present day are able to offer smartphone integration with functions such as Apple CarPlay and/or Android Auto available at your fingertips, yet FIAT has been somewhat behind on this trend with the 500. The Italian brand has now put this right though, as the key feature of this new Mirror model is that it’s now able to offer such functions.
The features can be enjoyed on a 7″ Uconnect touchscreen which is also home to Bluetooth, USB and Aux connectivity. As well as the new tech, the Mirror is available in five colours, including the Electronica Blue seen here, but you won’t have alloy wheels to compliment the look, not unless you select them as an optional extra. You do however, get a brushed aluminium “Mirror” badge on the B-pillar.
Powering the 500 Mirror will be FIAT’s 1.2 litre 69bhp petrol unit, sadly there is no option for the characterful TwinAir unit, which is a shame. This engine emits 110g/km and is able to offer a combined fuel economy figure of 60.1mpg.
The new FIAT 500 Mirror is available to buy now in either hardtop or convertible form. One question though – if you break it, do you get 7 years’ bad luck?
