Today, Audi has announced that the new 2.0 litre TFSI version of the Q2 is now available to order with the German brand’s infamous quattro all-wheel drive system. It will be offered on either the S Line or Edition #1 trims, with prices starting from £31,760.
Broader Choice
This means buyers will have a broader choice for the new Q2, meaning those wanting a petrol rather than a diesel, but want all-wheel drive will be kept happy. Speaking of which, it might be an idea to tell you what the power output is. The 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol unit will be good for 187bhp, meaning it will hit 62mph in a respectable 6.5 seconds before continuing on to a top speed of 141mph. Not bad for an SUV. As you can imagine with an engine of this size and power, it’s not the greenest around.
A maximum of 44.8mpg will be achievable on a combined run and the CO2 comes in at 144g/km. It’s worth noting that’s for the S Line model, the Edition #1 comes with large 19″ alloys. The larger rims means that the economy falls slightly to 44.1mpg and that means that the CO2 emissions also rise slightly from 144g/km to 146g/km. If you seek better economy, you can of course still opt for a diesel Q2 and still have the choice to add quattro if desired.
If however your heart is set on the petrol, you can order it now with prices ranging from £31,760 to £36,750. On a side note, I’ll be testing the new Q2 next week, so look out for my review.
